Hampton Police Identify Kenneth Charles Dail Jr. as Victim in Fatal Car Crash
The Hampton Police Department has officially identified the victim of a tragic car crash as 58-year-old Kenneth Charles Dail Jr.
The incident occurred around 9:23 a.m., prompting a swift response from the police. A call reporting a two-vehicle collision at the 2500 block of N. Armistead Avenue was received by the authorities, as confirmed by the Hampton Police Department.
Following a thorough investigation into the matter, law enforcement revealed that the unfortunate event unfolded in the following manner: A male driver operating a silver Lexus sedan was traveling in a southbound direction on N. Armistead Avenue. Regrettably, he lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road. Subsequently, upon reentering the roadway, the Lexus collided with the rear section of an unoccupied Newport News Waterworks truck.
Tragically, the driver of the silver Lexus was severely injured in the incident. He was immediately brought to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, he died from his injuries shortly after his admission, according to the Hampton Police Department.
